On December 4, 2017 Ambassador Audrius Brūzga opened a Lithuanian Honorary Consulate in Eskişehir and appointed Mr Zafer Türker, President of the Hisbim group of companies to represent Lithuania’s interests in Eskişehir.
A new Lithuanian Honorary Consulate was opened in Istanbul on October 30, 2017. A respected citizen of Turkey, President of Sarper Petrol A.S., Mr Sarper Cengiz was apointed to the post of the Honorary Consul of Lithunia with the consular jurisdiction over the province of Istanbul.
On October 19, 2017 Ambassador Audrius Bruzga met with Prof. Emine Nur Gunay, Member of the Grand National Assembly from Eskisehir, Member of the Turkish Delegation to the Parliamentary Assembly to the Council of Europe. Ambassador Bruzga and Prof. Gunay exchanged views on nuclear safety and security in Europe.
On May 29, 2017 the Ambassador of Lithuania, Mr Audrius Bruzga was received in Ankara by the Speaker of the Grand National Assembly of the Republic of Turkey, Mr Ismail Kahraman.
On May 26, 2017 the First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, Mr Vadim Pristayko visited the Lithuanian Embassy in Ankara where he met diplomats from EU and NATO countries.

On March 14-17 Ambassador Audrius Bruzga was on a trip to Pakistan to celebrate Lithuania‘s restored Independence and to mark the 20th anniversary of Lithuania‘s Honorary Consulate in Islamabad.
