Job title: Ambassador‘s Assistant
Duration of contract: 1 year
Duties and responsibilities:
- Performing general secretarial work including answering incoming telephone calls and e-mail messages and providing general information on Lithuania;
- Managing Embassy’s official correspondence, filing of the documents and the archives;
- Preparing letters and written material as requested by the Ambassador ;
- Keeping a record of appointments and schedules meetings for the Ambassador and other diplomats;
- Following the Turkish press and preparing press-reviews;
- Providing consular information for persons concerned;
- Maintaining guests relations;
- Carrying out limited routine administrative work;
- Assisting Embassy Staff in organizing Embassy’s events and functions
Requirements and qualifications:
Education: Bachelor‘s degree from a recognized university (social sciences);
Language: fluent in oral and written Lithuanian, Turkish and English;
A candidate must know how to work with MS Office and be ready to be trained to work with computer programs, used at the Embassy.
He or she must know the basics of the secretarial work.
A candidate should be able to work in a small team, be responsible, show strong ethics and exercise discretion;
Relevant previous professional experience would be an asset.

- Assisting Consular Officer in managing visa applications;
- Communicating with Turkish institutions regarding consular issues;
- Providing consular information for persons concerned.
- Assisting Embassy Staff in organizing Embassy’s events and functions

Language: fluent in Turkish and English;
