23 Eylül 2019'da, Litvanya Cumhuriyeti, Letoya Cumhuriyeti ve Estonya Cumhuriyeti Ankara Büyükelçilikleri tarafından, “Baltık Yolu” nun 30. yıldönümü vesilesiyle bir resepsiyon düzenlendi.
Ankara'da CerModern isimli çağdaş sanat müzesinde düzenlenen özel kutlama etkinliğinde, “Bunda jau Baltija” adlı tarihi şarkı ile başladı ve ardından Letonyalı yönetmen Askolds Saulītis’in “Baltık Kurtuluş Yolu” adlı belgeselinin gösterimi gerçekleştirildi. Belgeselde, Baltık ülkelerinin, Sovyetler Birliği'ndeki özgürlük ve bağımsızlık arayışına ilişkin temel olaylar anlatılmaktadır.

Starting from 01.08.2019, National visa applications will be accepted not only by the Embassy, but by VFS Global visa centers as well (contact information: http://tr.mfa.lt/tr/en/travel-and-residence/coming-to-lithuania/visas/visa-application-centres-in-turkey ) from Turkish citizens and holders of the Residence Permit in Turkey, who are intending to travel to Lithuania:
- to study under student exchange program (Erasmus and others)
- to study at Lithuanian Universities or other higher education establishments (BA, MA, PhD)
- to collect the Temporary Residence Permit in the Republic of Lithuania, issued by Lithuanian Migration department (those who have the positive decision issued);
- to work (those who has labor permit issued by Lithuanian Employment Service);
- to work as teacher or conduct scientific researches;
- to implement joint government programs as teacher or researcher;
- to engage in sports activities;
- sailors who arrive to ship sailing under the flag of Lithuania or their ship is being repaired in Lithuania;
- journalists accredited by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Lithuania.
Note 1: no one is exempted of VFS Global service fee. VFS service fee for National visa: 15,90 EUR. For Schengen visa: 23,00 EUR.
Note 2: those who apply via VFS Global offices, must follow their application status on VFS Global system only (using reference number)
Note 3: those applicants who have booked their appointment at the Embassy but decide to apply via VFS Global instead, must cancel their appointment at the Embassy (Konsreg system)

Plane lands with Lithuanian citizens from Vietnam and Thailand in Kaunas

On 23 March, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania Linas Linkevičius participated in a video conference of the EU Foreign Affairs Ministers, who exchanged views on the international response to the novel coronavirus (SARS-CoV-2) with a particular focus on the repatriation of EU travelers stranded abroad. Foreign Ministers also discussed how to step up international cooperation in order to fight the COVID-19 pandemic.

On 10 March, on the eve of the 30th anniversary of the Restoration of the Independence of Lithuania, Vilnius held the Bucharest Nine (B9) meeting of the foreign ministers of Bulgaria, the Czech Republic, Estonia, Latvia, Poland, Lithuania, Romania, Slovakia, and Hungary. Delegates from the United States of America and NATO attended the meeting as guests. Gitanas Nausėda, President of the Republic of Lithuania, greeted the participants in the Palace of the Grand Dukes of Lithuania.
