Visa and service fee

  1. Applicants shall pay a Schengen visa fee of EUR 90.
  2. Children from the age of six years and below the age of 12 years shall pay a Schengen visa fee of EUR 45.

When applying for a visa through an external service provider, a service fee is paid. Lithuania has an agreement with VF Services (UK) Ltd. and service fee is 17,90 € (incl. 20% VAT) per application over and above the visa fees. For more information please see Visa Information. Embassy of the Republic of Lithuania to the Republic of Türkiye does not accept directly applications for Schengen visas. 


Visa waiver is applicable to Turkish citizens if they are:

  • Family members of citizens of the Republic of Lithuania and other Member States of the European Union or Member States of the European Free Trade Association;
  • Children under 18 years; 
  • School pupils, students, postgraduate students and accompanying teachers who undertake stays for the purpose of study or educational training; researchers from third countries traveling for the purpose of carrying out scientific research as defined in Recommendation No 2005/761 / EC of the European Parliament and of the Council of 28 September 2005 to facilitate the issue by the Member States of uniform short-stay all for researchers from third countries traveling within the Community for the purpose of carrying out scientific research; holders of diplomatic and service passports; representatives of non-profit organizations aged 25 years or less participating in seminars, conferences, sports, cultural or educational events organized by non-profit organizations; participants aged 25 years or less in seminars, conferences, sports, cultural or educational events, organized by non-profit organizations
  • Holders of diplomatic or service passports or equivalent travel documents when their entry into the Republic of Lithuania is related to the promotion of cultural, foreign policy, development cooperation policy or other areas of public importance;
  • Researchers, who has a higher education qualification giving the right to participate in doctoral programs (PhD) or a doctoral degree and intends to carry out research and experimental development work under an employment contract concluded with a research and study institution.
  • Persons of Lithuanian origin, as well as to persons who have retained the right to citizenship of the Republic of Lithuania and to persons who have the right to restore Lithuanian citizenship.

Visa waiver is applicable to other foreign citizens if they are:

  •  Family members of citizens of the Republic of Lithuania and other Member States of the European Union or Member States of the European Free Trade Association;
  •  Children under 6 years; 
  • School pupils, students, postgraduate students and accompanying teachers who undertake stays for the purpose of study or educational training; researchers from third countries traveling for the purpose of carrying out scientific research as defined in Recommendation No 2005/761 / EC of the European Parliament and of the Council of 28 September 2005 to facilitate the issue by the Member States of uniform short-stay all for researchers from third countries traveling within the Community for the purpose of carrying out scientific research; 
  • Holders of diplomatic or service passports or equivalent travel documents when their entry into the Republic of Lithuania is related to the promotion of cultural, foreign policy, development cooperation policy or other areas of public importance;
  • Researchers, who has a higher education qualification giving the right to participate in doctoral programs (PhD) or a doctoral degree and intends to carry out research and experimental development work under an employment contract concluded with a research and study institution.
  • Persons of Lithuanian origin, as well as to persons who have retained the right to citizenship of the Republic of Lithuania and to persons who have the right to restore Lithuanian citizenship.
