90th Anniversary of Diplomatic Relations between Lithuania and Turkey

On the September 17th, Lithuania and Turkey are celebrating the 90th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries.
On the 17th of September 1930, Friendship Agreement was signed between Lithuania and Turkey. It ıdentıfıed the most important areas of cooperation between the two countries at that time.
Lithuania, appreciates that Turkey never recognized the illegal occupation of Lithuania by the Soviet Union.
On the occasion of the establishment and development, of diplomatic relations Foreign Ministers of Lithuania and Turkey made a joint statement.
