A PRESENT FROM THE PRIME MINISTER FOR A.MICKEVIČIUS MUSEUM IN ISTANBUL

Jonas Jucas the Minister of Culture of the Republic of Lithuania during his official visit to the Republic of Turkey visited Adomas Mickevicius Museum in Istanbul on May 26, 2008.

The Minister presented a present from Gediminas Kirkilas, Prime Minister of the Republic of Lithuania. 5 photographs of A. Mickevicius memorial places in Lithuania were handed over to the director of the Museum.

Adomas Mickevicius Museum was established in the house where the poet had spent his last days in 1855.
