AMBASSADOR DARIUS PRANCKEVICIUS PAID A COURTESY VIZIT TO THE SPEAKER OF THE PARLIAMENT OF TURKEY
Ambassador of Lithuania, Darius Pranckevicius, paid a courtesy visit to Köksal Toptan, the Speaker of the Turkish Grand National Assembly on 4th of October.
During the meeting Ambassador presented a letter of congratulations from Viktoras Muntianas, Chairman of The Parliament of the Republic of Lithuania. D. Pranckevicius emphasized that relations between Lithuanian and Turkish Parliaments are intensive and expressed his hope that this dialog will continue in the future. The importance of creation of the Group for Parliamentary relations with Lithuania in Turkish Parliament was mentioned.
K. Toptan conveyed his cordial thanks to the Lithuanian Parliament and confirmed that Inter-parliamentary Friendship Group with Lithuania in the Turkish Parliament is being created. The Speaker of the Turkish Parliament stressed that inter-parliamentarian relationships play a major role ensuring the support of the EU member states in Turkey’s efforts for EU membership.
