Since the Embassy’s Consular section is temporarily closed for direct visa applications, the Embassy’s Online Consular Registration system is not available.   Turkish citizens and holders of residence permit in Turkey shall submit the National (D) visa applications to the VFS Global visa centers in Turkey personally, upon appointment. Foreign nationals are eligible to submit the National (D) visa applications to the VFS Global visa centers in Turkey if there is no the Embassy of Lithuania or the VFS Global Lithuania visa center in their country of origins.

Foreign nationals must stay in Turkey legally during National (D) visa processing period, which means they need to have:

1. valid resident permit issued by Turkey
2. valid Turkish visa issued by the Turkish embassy
3. or their country of citizenship has visa free regime with Turkey.

Foreign nationals are required to wait in Turkey for the decision on visa issuance (approx. 10-20 days) and participate in an online interview if required.

Holders of a valid National (D) visa are permitted to enter Schengen area and to use other the EU airports for transit to Lithuania.
