ATTENTION PLEASE: Submission of Schengen visa applications in Turkey
Due to nationwide lockdown in Turkey, the Lithuanian Embassy’s consular section and VFS Global visa centers in Turkey will be closed until 17th of May.
During this period the following foreign nationals can submit the Schengen and National visa applications to the Embassy of Lithuania in Ankara:
-Family members of the EU citizens covered by Directive EC/2004/38;
-Healthcare professionals, health researchers, and elderly care professionals;
-Frontier workers;
-Transport personnel engaged in haulage of goods and other transport staff to the extent necessary;
-Diplomats, staff of international organisations, military personnel and humanitarian aid workers in the exercise of their functions;
-Passengers travelling for imperative family reasons;
-Persons in need of international protection or for other humanitarian reasons.
Foreign nationals are required to wait in Turkey for the decision on visa issuance, approx. 5-10 days.
Holders of a valid National visa are permitted to enter Schengen area and to use other the EU airports for transit to Lithuania. Holders of Schengen visa (except EU family members) are required to obtain entry permit issued by the Lithuanian authorities to enter Schengen area.
