Embassy of the Republic of Lithuania in the Republic of Türkiye announces selection for the post of clerk
Applicants, who meet the requirements for the post and who wish to be considered for the selection procedure, must submit a curriculum vitae, evidence of required education degree and a motivation letter by September 9, 2024 (inclusively) to [email protected]. The selection will be conducted in the form of an interview. Interviews with eligible candidates will take place between September 12 and 16, 2024. The candidates will be interviewed at the premises of the Embassy of the Republic of Lithuania in the Republic of Türkiye or by video teleconferencing. Base salary coefficient - from 0.52.
Requirements:
The holder of the position shall meet the following requirements:
- a higher education of college type or a higher education of university type or similar education;
- English and Turkish language skills at no lower than B2 level;
- computer literacy (MS Office software package);
- knowledge of the rules of clerical work, document management and record-keeping, drafting of legal acts and language culture;
- ability to plan, organise own activities, analytically assess and systemise information;
- fluent written and oral communication skills;
- understanding of legal acts and international agreements regulating consular activities;
- leaving no doubt as to the person’s credibility.
Functions:
Functions of the holder of this position shall include:
- contributing, within their competence, to the performance of consular functions, in accordance with the provisions of Articles 14 to 42 of the Consular Statute;
- providing information to interested parties on consular matters, preparing consular information material, responding to enquiries within his or her competence;
- answering and administering phone calls;
- receiving visitors, consular documents, handling consular correspondence;
- preparing consular documents and their drafts;
- within his or her remit, liaising with other institutions on consular matters;
- translating consular documents;
- creating files of consular documents, drawing up a documentation plan and managing the archives;
- within his or her remit, maintaining relations with the Lithuanian community;
- preparing consular documents for dispatch by diplomatic mail and/or diplomatic cargo, processing consular documents received by diplomatic mail and/or diplomatic cargo;
- performing other occasional official tasks assigned by the Head of the Mission.
Relevant work experience would be regarded as an advantage.

The successful candidate will be offered a fixed-term contract.
