Exhibition of the Kaunas Modern Architecture

To commemorate the Lithuanian Independence Day, February 16th, an exhibition of the early 20th century Kaunas architecture was opened at the Cankaya Municipality Gallery.

Kaunas was the provisional Capital of Lithuania between the two World Wars and like Ankara pursued modernism in architecture. Many fine buildings of that period survived and have been shortlisted for the UNESCO World Heritage List. The exhibition has been organised in partnership with the Architects‘ Association 1927.
