INTEERNATIONAL WEEK FOR CHILDREN ILL WITH LEUKEMIA, IN TURKEY
International week for children ill with leukemia was organized by “Losev” foundation, operating in Turkey. 20 children from 20 different countries are granted with opportunity to visit Ankara and to recreate in Antalya resort. Children are accompanied by one of the parents.
Lithuanian Embassy in Turkey in cooperation with Childhood Cancer Fund “Rugutė” set the possibility to Simona Arkušauskaitė to participate in the above mentioned events. Simona, 14 years old girl, was diagnosed with lymphoblast leukemia in 2003. The treatment was completed in January, 2006.
On the 25th of May Simona and her mother visited Lithuanian Embassy in Ankara. Simona as an expression of gratitude for the assistance in organizing a trip gave her own paining as a present.
