Lithuania to help Turkey build Legal Aid Services

On September 8, 2016 a new EU Twinning project was launched to assist Turkey with strengthening its Legal Aid Services.

Experts from Lithuania in partnership with their Spanish and French colleagues will work with Turkish Bar Associations to share their expertise and best practise in the field. Speaking at the kick-off meeting Ambassador Audrius Brūzga welcomed the project by saying that at this point in time more than ever we were in need of a close cooperation of our judiciary to be able to fight terror and to provide the best possible legal aid to those in need.
