LITHUANIAN JAZZ CONCERT WILL TAKE PLACE IN ANKARA

Lithuania will be celebrating the 18th anniversary of restoration of its independence on 11th March 2008. In that scope, the Embassy of Lithuania in cooperation with Cerebral Paralyzed Children Association (SERCEV) and Veritas Organisation are organising a charity concert where famous Lithuanian jazz musician Liudas Mockūnas and Chordos String Quartet will give a jazz concert.

There are about 2 million cerebral paralyze ill persons in Turkey. That’s why Embassy has chosen the SERCEV Association as a partner for this charity concert.

Concert will take place in Akun Hall on 13th March 2008 at 20.00 hrs. Tickets can be bought at the theatre or by internet http://www.biletix.com/event.htm?id=JSERE where tickets are being sold. All incomes from the tickets sell will be donated to SERCEV association.

SERCEV is established in Ankara on 19th December 2002. Their mission is to reach all cerebral paralysed children and their families, to let them benefit their services, to give assistance in solving their problems and to let them be as happy and honourable members of the society. Their vision is to be the voice of all handicapped children and people.

SERCEV is realising a sample of state - nongovernmental organisation cooperation which enables the construction of M. E. V. Gokkusagi Primary School where children ill with cerebral paralyze can get education. The aim is to make this school to be the model to the country.

The Embassy expresses its gratitude to all sponsors who have assisted organizing this concert. Without their support the project would not be implemented.
