On 9 – 10 December Open Access Centers were presented in Ankara

On 9-10 December a delegation of representatives of the Lithuanian science and transportation sectors, headed by the First Deputy Chancellor of the Government of Lithuania RimantasVaitkus, visited Ankara and met with the General Director of the Ministry of Science, Industry and Technology of the Republic of Turkey Unal Gundogan, the President of Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey (TUBITAK) Prof. Dr. Arif Ergin, Adviser to the Prime Minister of the Republic of Turkey on Science and Innovations Omer Acikgoz.

During the meeting the Turkish-Lithuanian cooperation in the field of innovations and High technology as well as prospects and development of such cooperation between scientific institutions were discussed.

On 10 December the Lithuanian Embassy and Ankara Chamber of Industry organized Lithuanian Days conference. During the event the Lithuanian delegation presented to the Turkish companies the Open Access Centers and their capabilities, defense industry projects, the Viking train project, as well as potential of the Lithuanian economy. The conference was followed by the Business to Business meetings were mutually beneficial contacts were made and exchanged.
