OPPORTUNITY FOR LITHUANIAN ENTERPRICES: INTERNATIONAL DEFENCE INDUSTRY FAIR IN TURKEY,2009

On October 9, Ambassador of Lithuania Darius Pranckevicius and director of Turkish Armed Forces Foundation, Gen. Engin Alan, discussed the possibility for Lithuanian enterprises producing military equipments to participate in IDEF exhibition to be held on May, 2009 in Ankara.
The Turkish Armed Forces Foundation organizes the international defence industry fair IDEF every two years. It is one of the biggest expositions of that kind in the world and the biggest in the region. This year 494 enterprises from 48 countries were represented and delegations of 54 countries participated in IDEF.“This exhibition for Lithuanian enterprises could be a gate to the markets in Turkey and other countries of the region”. – Ambassador D. Pranckevicius noted.
Gen. E. Alan was pleased with attention from Lithuania to the fair.
“Lithuanian enterprises will be offered the most convenient conditions to participate in the exhibition in 2009”. – E. Alan promised.
