The Embassy funds the project to strengthen cooperation between Lithuanian and Turkish researchers
November 23-24, a delegation of researchers from Vytautas Magnus University and Kaunas University of Technology visited Eskişehir, Turkey, to participate in activities of the development cooperation project funded by the Lithuanian Embassy to Turkey. The project aims to promote industrial and scientific cooperation between Lithuania and Turkey to implement the EU Green Course and bio-economy innovations, focusing on the agricultural and food sectors.
While visiting Eskişehir Osmangazi University, Lithuanian researchers organized a seminar to discuss the experience and close cooperation between Lithuanian political institutions, scientists and business representatives in bio-economy, agriculture and food, and the use of artificial intelligence in agriculture. Turkish Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry attended the event and presented Turkey's preparations for implementing the EU Green Course. During the visit, researchers from both countries visited the Eskişehir Teknopark (ATAP).
In September, a delegation of researchers from Eskişehir Osmangazi University visited Lithuania and established contact with researchers from Vytautas Magnus University. They also participated in the international agricultural exhibition „Ką pasėsi“.
A final meeting of the project partners is planned to take place in mid-December. Researchers and representatives will discuss possibilities of further cooperation between universities. For example, they would like to establish exchange programs for students and lecturers or double degree study programs.
