The Lithuanian Ambassador met with the Speaker of the Turkish Parliament

On May 29, 2017 the Ambassador of Lithuania, Mr Audrius Bruzga was received in Ankara by the Speaker of the Grand National Assembly of the Republic of Turkey, Mr Ismail Kahraman.

Ambassador Bruzga delivered greetings from the Speaker of the Seimas of the Republic of Lithuania, Mr Viktoras Pranckietis and his appreciation for the kind invitation to visit Turkey. At the meeting bilateral issues and European as well Transatlantic cooperation was discussed in a good and friendly atmosphere. Lithuania encourages Turkey to strengthen the country’s democratic institutions following the unsuccessful coup of July 15, 2016 and to continue on the path of European integration. Speaker Kahraman thanked Lithuania for showing solidarity with Turkey and hoped for a successful and beneficial future cooperation.
